Road Runner High Speed Online has two residential installation options available to customers. Please note that all pricing provided below does not include applicable sales tax and franchise fees.

As you register for Road Runner High Speed Online, you will need to indicate the installation option you are interested in. Installation options are for a single connection. If you would like to have access to Road Runner on additional computers please indicate this when you contact us. We do offer additional dynamic IP addresses for $9.95 per month. Please be aware, however, that wiring and hardware for additional connections and networking are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in the installation provided by Time Warner Cable.

Installation time is 5 business days.

Option 1 - Self Install:

Option 1 is designed for current Time Warner Cable customers with a minimum of standard cable service who would like to self install High Speed Internet service. There is no charge for a self-installation. Your Windows Desktop PC will need an available Ethernet port, an available USB port or an open PCI slot. Your Macintosh computer will need to have either an available USB port or available Ethernet port. If you have a laptop computer, an available Ethernet or USB port must be available in advance of the High Speed Online Service installation. It is the customer’s responsibility to provide an Ethernet card if needed. Your comprehensive Self Installation Kit includes everything you need to install, configure and use your cable modem. High Speed Internet service requires an active coaxial cable outlet. (If you need for an outlet to be installed, select Option 2 - Standard Install.) Our self-installation option - including shipment of modem and Self Installation kit - is available only through online ordering.

Option 2 - Professional Installation

Option 2 is designed for customers who would prefer to have the cable modem installed by a Time Warner Cable High Speed Online technician. If you choose our standard install option, Time Warner Cable will send qualified technician to your home to install a single new coaxial outlet. If you currently have a cable outlet that is in a convenient location to your PC, the technician will test the existing outlet for required throughput signal levels. Your Windows Desktop PC will need an available Ethernet port, an available USB port or an open PCI slot. Your Macintosh computer will need to have either an available USB port or available Ethernet port. If you have a laptop computer, an available Ethernet or USB port must be available in advance of the High Speed Online Service installation. The technician will install the cable modem and provide you with the software and information on Road Runner High-Speed Online service.

There is no charge for a standard installation, however additional fees may apply if the coax installation is a non-standard installation requiring behind the wall wiring of the coaxial line on an interior wall.

If you do not currently subscribe to Time Warner Cable, confirmation of serviceability may be required prior to scheduling your installation. The Road Runner service rate for residential customers is $44.95 per month ($39.95 for DIGIPiC cable subscribers).

Time Warner Cable’s self-installation option is designed for current customers with active cable outlets within 10 feet of their home computer. A Windows Desktop PC will need an available Ethernet port, an available USB port or an open PCI slot. A Macintosh computer will need to have either an available USB port or available Ethernet port. If you have a laptop computer, an available Ethernet or USB port must be available in advance of the High Speed Online Service installation. It is the customer’s responsibility to provide an Ethernet card if needed. Our free self-installation option includes the free shipment of a cable modem. The comprehensive Self Installation Kit includes everything you need to install, configure and use the cable modem. The cable modem is the property of Time Warner Cable and it is the customer’s responsibility to return the cable modem to Time Warner Cable if terminating High Speed Internet service. High Speed Internet service requires an active coaxial cable outlet. If you need for an outlet to be installed, select a Standard Installation option to arrange for free installation by a professional installer.
